Post Dual Screen & Timing
Hi all,

As i am running 2 screens i was wondering whether there was a way to basically put most of the 'un-important' race info such as pos, lap etc onto the 2nd screen (not the driving one).

Better yet does anyone know if i can run an app on the second screen & basically turn it into a timing screen?

Any suggestions please let me know.

Also let know if this topic has been disscussed previously as i couldn't find anything.

Cheers :)

Lets try posting for a second time :(

I used SimView and the Adapter when racing rFactor. Its not a bad looking setup. Problem is though, the original website with the installation/use documentation has long since disappeared. It'll be a bit of a hit and miss thing to get it working. Hopefully it'll work

Yeah sorry, I've been snowed under with work.

To answer your question Benson. Yes but it's not easy...

Can you move the inbuilt LFS timing on to other screens? (afaik) no.

Can you have a in game timing output other than the built in one. Yes using an Insim.
Can this be moved to other screens: I don't think so, from memory the position of the display is restricted to the main screen, but I've never tried.

The most realistic option would be to run in window mode and make an Insim data catcher an re-render it in a window you put on that screen. (but then you miss out on the game view in that screen)... Or with fullscreen/multiscreen mode and some kind of GPU overlay... like how LFS ghost did it...

This would require software programming development skills to do (unless you can find someone who has done it already)...
